Meeting of the Committee of Secretariat
Doctor Aouny BEHNAME, first adviser of the General Secretariat of the G77 and China Summit, held on Saturday, June 4th, 2005, a meeting of training and information for the volunteers for the Executive committee of the Secretariat and the General Secretariat in the Movenpick Hotel.

M.BEHNAME gave to the attendance a glimpse on the history of the Group of 77 and China and its objectives. He also spoke about the importance of the Summit of Doha and about its importance in the actual international context on the economic and development levels. He affirmed that this summit represents an opportunity to promote collaboration between the G77 member countries and to prepare for the Conference of the Millennium on next September.

Dr Aouny also put the emphasis on the importance of the role which the Committee of Secretariat is called to play in the success of the Summit, before, during and after the official meetings. He called the volunteers to work in a team spirit and coordination.

The first adviser of the General Secretariat reviewed program and agenda of the summit and explained in detail the task of the General Secretariat, expressing the wish that the Summit of Doha leads to decisions which serve the objectives of the Group of 77 and China.
