The presidency of Qatar, of the Group of 77 and China, resulted in the launch of an operation aimed at seeking an international consensus on development, in order to reach equilibrium between, on one side, the concerns of security, and on the other, the objective of eradicating poverty and accomplishing sustainable development.
This action was motivated by our firm belief that peace and security could only be lasting, when they were built on development and justice .
Our country believes in the importance of cooperation between the countries of the South. We hosted the Forum on Trade and Investment of Countries of the South and we will also have the honour to host the Second South Summit next June .
